Poland took tens of thousands of Ukrainians from Donbass Prime Minister
Uncategorized January 4, 2018Poland has adopted several tens of thousands of Ukrainians who left the Donbass. This was stated by the head of the Council of Ministers of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki, reports UKRINFORM.
According to him, Poland just took a 1.5 million Ukrainians, but did not specify over what period of time.
“I stressed at the European Council today again it will say: the countries of Central Europe do a lot for migration, to reduce tensions on the Eastern flank of the EU, because there is a war of Russia with Ukraine. (…) We took 1.5 million Ukrainians, despite the fact that a significant portion of them are people who fled from areas where fighting is taking place – Donbass”, – said Morawiecki.
Within 10 months of 2017, the government of Poland has granted refugee status to 56 Ukrainian citizens and took 175 of giving the Ukrainians the status of a person in need of complementary protection.
