The police opened criminal proceedings due to anti-Semitic graffiti in Odessa

ODESSA-KIEV. 26 Dec. UNN. On the facts of anti-Semitic inscriptions on buildings of Odessa – the objects of the Jewish heritage – the police have opened criminal proceedings. About this on his page in Facebook wrote Advisor to the Chairman of GUNP in Odessa region Ruslan Forostyak, the correspondent of UNN.

Militiamen opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of article 161 (deliberate acts aimed at inciting national, racial or religious enmity and hatred, humiliation of national honor and dignity).

The sanction of article prescribes punishment in the form of a fine, correctional labor or restriction of liberty for a term up to five years.

“Despite reason to believe that these inscriptions – another elements of anti-state provocations in the region, however, hope that the villains will be identified and suffer due punishment”, – said R. Forostyak.

As reported by UNN, in Odessa unknown daubed anti-Semitic slogans the Brodsky synagogue in Zhukovsky, the Holocaust Museum of memory of victims of fascism on little Arnaut and the Jewish cultural center “Beit Grand” in Tiraspol.
