A rating of 2017 was released in an updated format
The magazine “Focus” presented the traditional annual ranking of “100 most influential Ukrainians”. A rating of 2017 came out in the new format: participants list distributed in six categories that correspond to their role in public life – “Leaders”, “Steering”, “Tycoons”, “Strategy”, “Master” and “Idols”. This concept made it possible to accurately display aspects of the impact of the rating participants on the scope of their activities.
“A departure from the traditional supply in the form of a list of 100 influential people not only revived the rating, but also made it more controversial one. I hope that readers will start quite a heated debate, why it is diverse shapes are on the same page. If this really happens, then we have achieved our goal – to make the Ukrainian society think about what it is now and what may become a couple of decades later”, – said Eugene Gordeychik, the chief editor of Focus.
It is also noteworthy that in the ranking of the 2017 significantly increased the number of actors, athletes and volunteers.
“Every year the list of 100 most influential Ukrainians there are more people whose projects inspire. This time, I’m endlessly fascinated by the heroic efforts of the founder of the Fund “Tabletochki” Olga Kudinenko, which collects millions of hryvnias for the treatment of children with cancer. Struck by the story of a Ukrainian Oksana Lyniv — the first woman in the world, which was entrusted the post of chief conductor of the Opera and Philharmonic orchestra in Graz in Austria,” – said Stanislav Miroshnichenko, Deputy chief editor of the Focus.
However, the position of the first persons of the country, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman, remain consistently high. As in previous years, the rankings were the heads of law enforcement agencies Arsen Avakov, Oleksandr Turchynov, Vasyl Hrytsak, Stepan Poltorak and Viktor Muzhenko. Significant revision took also Yuriy Lutsenko, Nazar Golodnitsky and Artem Sytnik.
