The court of Saakashvili: the judge retired to the conference room

Judge Pechersk district court of Kyiv Larissa Sokol went to the conference room for decision-making on election of a measure of restraint ex-to the Governor of the Odessa region Mikhail Saakashvili, the correspondent of LIGA.net.

The politician at the meeting said that denies accusations of working for the Russian FSB. “I Poroshenko and Lutsenko ‘s deeply offended by… These two subjects called me an agent of the FSB”, he said.

“Saakashvili in prison in Kiev – is the best dream of Putin”, – the politician believes. To ensure their safety, he urged to put to him the employees of the SBU, not to send under house arrest. “Nowhere in the world do not close because he wanted to kill him,” said the detainee, commenting on the Prosecutor’s statement about the alleged Russian plans to eliminate Saakashvili.

Prosecutors in closing remarks said that persons who have expressed a willingness to take bail Saakashvili cannot guarantee the performance of a politician’s obligations.

As previously reported, to take bail Saakashvili want the leader of the Batkivshchyna party Yulia Tymoshenkoand the MPs.

The prosecution seeks the measure of restraint in the form of a round-the-clock house arrest and wants to oblige a politician to surrender their passports and wear an electronic bracelet.

8 December 2017 police arrested Saakashvili. Policy is charged with part 2 of article 256 of the criminal code – assistance to members of the criminal organizations and concealment of their criminal activities.
