Rada adopted the law on combating domestic violence

Under the Act, “domestic violence acts (action or inaction) of a physical, sexual, psychological or economic violence committed within the family or within a home or between relatives, or between former or current spouses or between other persons living together (living) single family, but are not (was not) is related or married to each other, regardless of the resident (lived) a person who commits domestic violence in the same place as the injured person, threats teach the issuance of such acts.
The creation of the call center on issues of preventing and combating domestic violence, gender-based violence and violence against children. It is formed by the Central Executive body, providing forming of state policy in the sphere of prevention and counteraction to domestic violence, refers to the sphere of its control and acts on the basis of the provision approved by this body defines the persons covered by the law.
The law defines the special measures to combat domestic violence. These include:
1) urgent prohibiting the instruction concerning the offender;
2) limiting instruction concerning the offender;
3) statement on the preventive account of the offender and conduct him preventive work;
4) sending the offender to undergo program for offenders.
It is also assumed that the perpetration of domestic violence, gender-based violence is the intentional performance of any actions (acts or omissions) physical, psychological or economic nature (use of violence not resulting in bodily harm, threats, insults or harassment, deprivation of housing, food, clothing, other property or funds on which the victim has a statutory right, etc.), the result of which could be or was harmed by the physical or mental health of the victim, as well as the failure to Express the restricted regulations the person against whom it was made, or not informing the competent units of the National police of Ukraine on the place of their temporary stay in the case of its adoption, – entail a fine of ten to twenty non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens or public works for a period of from thirty to forty hours, or administrative detention for up to seven days.
