The Prosecutor’s office demands to cancel the construction permit for the shopping areas in the City garden of Odessa

ODESSA-KIEV. 24 Nov. UNN. Investigators of Prosecutor’s office of Odessa region found that the permission to conduct construction works in the City garden of Odessa issued in the absence of prior agreement on this issue with the competent authority in the field of culture. At the same time, the correspondent of UNN reported in the press service of the Prosecutor of Odessa region.

“The Prosecutor’s office appealed to the District administrative court of Kyiv in the interests of the Ministry of culture of Ukraine to the defendant — the State architectural and construction Inspectorate of Ukraine and third-person — enterprises. In the lawsuit we demand to recognize the illegal actions of the permit to conduct construction works, namely, construction entities of the administrative building with commercial premises and infrastructure on the street Preobrazhenskaya, 24”, — stated in the message.

In addition the claim of the Prosecutor’s office is to revoke the permission on performance of construction works on the territory of the municipal garden.

It should be noted that the territory included in the zone of protection of monuments and the Central historical area of Odessa with limited regime of use.

Recall, November 18, hundreds of Odessa residents came to protest near the Summer theatre. Their main requirement was not to allow to build up this area to the City Park, and to prohibit the felling of trees.
