In Odessa at the rally, clashes occurred, the police chief broke his head

In Odessa, a rally against the construction of flats turned into a brawl with the police, in the course of the conflict, the parties used tear gas and batons.

In clashes between protesters against the construction of high-rise buildings in the city garden in Odessa and police injured 10 law enforcement officers. This was announced by the head of Department of civil safety of Ukraine in Odessa region Ivan Ischenko, reports 112 Ukraina.

“The conflict arose on the basis of what was suffered injuries to General Golovin (the head of the Odessa police Dmitry Golovin broke his head – ed.). After that, special forces and National guard used tear gas. Somewhere around 10 militiamen suffered, in respect of which was applied tear gas and suffered injuries of different degrees,” – said Ishchenko.

After the collision, the police haven’t arrested anybody yet.

“Detainees don’t have, conducted investigations, reviewed the video, after which the investigators will give a legal qualification and will apprehend offenders,” said Ishchenko.

According to him, the situation is controlled, the police forces and the National guard is enough to ensure order.
