Detained journalist of Ukrainian radio in Belarus visited the Ukrainian Consul

KIEV. 18 Nov. UNN. Detained in Belarus the journalist of “Ukrainian radio” Paul Sharoika visited the Ukrainian Consul. This was announced by Ambassador of Ukraine to Belarus Igor Kizim in the air ” 112 Ukraine “, reports UNN.

According to him, after visiting Paul Sharoika the Consul together with the wife of a detainee held a meeting with the lawyer, who was granted Belarusian side.

“After the arrest was called causes charges of espionage,” said I. Kizim.

He said that now Paul Sharoika is in the remand prison of the KGB of Belarus in Minsk and the foreign Ministry of Belarus has not yet made an official comment on the detention.

In addition, according to I. Kizima, according to the Belarusian legislation, the detainee cannot be provided by the Ukrainian defense.
