KIEV. 9 Nov. UNN. The rate of Bitcoin has set a new record figure of around 7900 dollars at auction, reports UNN with reference to the Freedman.

CEO of Bitgo, Mike Belshe published a report that the controversial project Segwit2x, the implementation of which was scheduled for this month, will not take place due to the lack of community support. The cryptocurrency market reacted sharply to this news, the price quickly set a new record high around 7900 USD.

The report says that efforts to implement Segwit2x began in may of this year, the reason was the goal: to increase the size of the unit and allow Bitcoin to scale.
