Diplomat of Poland called the Polish Lviv, mentioned Crimea Donbas

During participation in the round table “Volyn experiment of G. Usesage: the road to Polish-Ukrainian reconciliation in the interwar period,” in Exactly the Vice-Consul of the Consulate General of Poland in Lutsk Marek Sapor allegedly called Lviv is a Polish city. Sapor in comments regional edition Волинь24 said that such a reaction he just did not agree with made at the meeting, a statement that Poland occupied Lviv in 1920.

“I disagreed. Said that it is impossible to talk about the occupation, because occupation is when one country captures a part of another state… I said that in 1918, Lviv was a Polish city. It is known that the majority of the population of Lviv was then poles… So it’s just very biased and does not correspond to fact. I think this news is specially written so that it was provocative and undermine Polish-Ukrainian relations”, – he explained.

In early November of 2017, the Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland Witold Waszczykowski, who came to Lviv, refused from visiting the National memorial Museum of victims of occupation regimes “Prison on lontskoho” because of the position of its Director, Poland in 1918 occupied Western Ukraine.
