Social network Facebook has announced changes that should be made more transparent political advertising on the social network. This was announced by CEO mark Zuckerberg, reports the BBC Russian service.
The social network will be marking as political advertising, and advertisers will have to disclose who pays for it.
“You will also have the opportunity to see how many paid advertisers that people are watching this commercial and how many hits. Our goal is to fully launch it in the US before the midterm elections in 2018,” – said Zuckerberg.
The company plans to hire several thousand moderators to identify political advertising. These measures have been undertaken against the background of reports that are supported by the authorities of Russia group used ads on social networks to intervene in the US elections in 2016.
