Smuggled cigarettes worth nearly UAH 1.5 million found in Odessa region

ODESSA-KIEV. 26 Oct. UNN. According to the operational divisions of the southern regional Directorate of the border guards together with representatives of the SFS found a large shipment of smuggled cigarettes. About it the correspondent of UNN reported in the press service of the southern regional office of the SBS.

“During the in-depth inspection of the container, which is followed with “charcoal grill” from Ukraine to Israel has been an undeclared consignment of excisable goods totaling more than 1.4 million. Cartons of cigarettes with Ukrainian excise stamps were inside disposable grills, which were covered with charcoal briquettes”, — stated in the message.

To the inspection of the container has brought a service dog and used technical equipment, in particular scanning system “Rapiscan”.

As a result, the container was discovered 48 thousand packs of contraband cigarettes. Is checked.
