Gerashchenko: Umerov and Chiygoza in Russia want easing of sanctions
Uncategorized October 25, 2017For the release of the leaders of the Mejlis Ilmi Umerov and Akhtem chigusa Russia will try to achieve an easing of sanctions. This opinion was expressed by the representative of Ukraine in the humanitarian sub-group of the trilateral contact group Irina Gerashchenko October 25, at a briefing in Kyiv near the presidential Administration, reports Ukrainian Pravda.
“I am convinced that among the bonuses that trying to negotiate the Russian side, and the easing of sanctions and a return to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. Because there is now a serious struggle for the return of the Russian delegation without preconditions, without implementation of the resolutions of PACE,” she said.
“It is obvious that such an important humanitarian step, as the release of heroes, is a serious trump card that Putin will then swing to the world community, talking about the need to make concessions to Russia”, – said Gerashchenko.
However, she noted that the position of the Ukrainian side remains unchanged.
“We urge the world to keep the unity on one issue: the return of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine in full, full de-occupation and deannexation Crimea and Donbas, the release of all hostages and political prisoners. Without these prerequisites, without a complete package of the Minsk agreements and the liberation of the Crimea can not be considered that Russia was on the right path,” said the MP.
Today Chiygoz and the dead who are condemned in the temporarily occupied Crimea on trumped-up charges, was transferred to Turkey.
Lawyer Polozov called it a “natural result of a Herculean effort” and successfully carried out legal, political and diplomatic work.
As writes the Crimean journalist Anton NumLock, “President (Putin – ed.) decrees about the pardon kept secret and not published.” “According to participants of the negotiation process, it is a “political decision and the outcome of negotiations with the participation of Turkey and Ukraine”, – he said.
However, Polozov saysthat Chiygoz and umer did not write a petition for clemency.
