The scandal of U.S.-Turkey military cooperation is not affected – the Pentagon
Uncategorized October 12, 2017Cooperation between the US and Turkey in the military sphere is not affected by the current political scandal, in which the embassies of countries ceased nonimmigrant visa services for citizens. About it on the way to the Central command of US armed forces in Tampa, told journalists the head of the Pentagon James Mattis, writes AFP.
“This is a NATO ally, and we work diligently, to stay together against a common enemy. We got along very well militarily,” he said.
According to the Minister of defense, political scandal “did not affect” the current military operations, NATO in General and USA in particular, which directly or indirectly involve Turkey. The American commander refused to speculate on whether diplomatic tension on them if the situation drags on, but noted that in the past political conflicts with different countries do not interfere with the military of these countries to work together.
