In the area of anti-terrorist operation detained suspects in the bombing of a car in Odessa

In the area of ATO in the Donetsk region detained suspects in the bombing of the car in the center of Odessa, which occurred this summer. The alleged attackers were detained while trying to cross the demarcation line in the direction of the ORDO, said at a briefing on Monday, 2 October, the head of national police Sergey Knyazev.

He recalled that the explosion occurred on 24 July, 2017 on the street Zhukovsky, near the office of one of the public-political organizations.

Knyazev said that the explosive power of 600 g in a trotyl equivalent has worked on the rear passenger seat of the car VAZ-2101.

“Thanks to the immediate operative activities conducted by police of the Odessa and Donetsk areas, offenders were detained at a checkpoint in Marinka during the transition to the temporarily uncontrolled territory”, – said the head of national police.

According to him, the investigation established that the offences are suspected the detainees have been committed deliberately and for a reward.

Also Knyazev stressed that the training of alleged terrorists involved representatives of the aggressor country of Russia.

Today, 2 October, interior Minister Arsen Avakov reported about the arrest of a bandit group that operated in Ukraine for the last two years and recently received an “order”, undermining the Hungarian monument in the Transcarpathian region for the further escalation of tension in relations between Ukraine and Hungary.
