The Deputy head of the village Council extorted bribes for carrying water

Employees of SBU together with prosecutors detained the bribe for holding a supply of the Deputy head of the village Council in Odesa oblast. Reports a press about it-service SBU.

According to the report, law enforcement authorities established that the official, together with subordinate engineer systematically demanded money from the owners of private houses located in the village of Fontanka for connection to a Central water system.

The operatives of intelligence agencies documented that the officials “suggested” to local residents to pay 35 thousand UAH, in addition to a formally defined payments for supply of water.

According to the official documentation, only the beginning of the Fontanka to the centralized water supply connected to more than 50 houses and objects.

The SBU has commenced the review of all facts on the issue of documentation by officials of the village Council.

Security officers have detained both malefactors in the office of Vice-Chairman during receiving the second part of a bribe in the amount of 27.5 thousand UAH.

Open criminal proceedings under part 3 of article 368 of the criminal code.

Recall, the trick was exposed by the Vice-mayor of the city of Pervomaisk in the Nikolaev area.
