Russia launched to bypass Ukraine regular freight train traffic

Russian Railways launches regular movement of cargo trains on a test section of the railway line zhuravka – Millerovo in the Voronezh and Rostov regions, bypassing Ukraine. This is stated in the message published on the website of Russian Railways.
The first cargo train passed the site of the temporary operation, moved the wagons with grain, iron ore and construction materials.
In the course of testing will test the readiness of railway infrastructure and operation of traffic control systems. During the tests the necessary training for locomotive crews.
Recall that in early September, the President of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov said that cargo traffic to bypass Ukraine will start in October 2017. Then he said that in the first place at the new site will launch freight traffic and passenger trains will be able to start working, after it’s schedule.
In early August, Russian Railways began to experience built to bypass Ukraine railway zhuravka – Millerovo. Then, the train has travelled 122 miles from the station zhuravka station Bochenkova.
Total line length is 137 km, It passes through the territory of the Voronezh and Rostov regions and the need to connect Central Russia with the black sea coast. The maximum speed of passenger trains will be 140 km/h and for trucks is 90 km/h.
Download of the highways in the summer, according to the plans of RZD will amount to 190 trains per day. During the construction of the railway was also built 98 infrastructure, including five railroad bridges, a viaduct, four road underpasses, two skotoprogonnaja, 20 overpasses for agricultural machinery and 66 culverts.
