The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine tomorrow, may consider a new edition of the rules for issuing visas in Ukraine, which envisages the reduction of the consular fee for obtaining a Ukrainian visa to $ 65. This was announced today by state Secretary of the Ministry of foreign Affairs Andrei Zayats, the correspondent of UNN.
“Tomorrow, March 1 it is expected that the Government will consider new edition of visa regulations. Work on these rules for more than a year continued, we came to the project. If the Government agrees, the project will greatly simplify the procedure for issuing visas in Ukraine”, – he said.
Among the main innovations, according to Mr. Hare, the draft provides for the reduction of tariff rates to obtain Ukrainian visa.
“It is expected that the visa fee (for visa support to Ukraine – ed.) will be $ 65. USA. Now $ 85, single and double – $ 130, multiple – 180-200 USD”, he said.
It is also expected, said the state Secretary of the foreign Ministry, the possibility of registration of visas in a simplified procedure for those foreign nationals who have previously received a Ukrainian visa, Schengen visa, USA visa, Canada, Japan, Australia.
“If the Government agrees with the proposed proposals at tomorrow’s meeting, citizens of Ukraine will be able to issue invitations via the notary, and any legal entity to execute it on your letterhead, certified with the seal”, he added.
In addition, said the state Secretary of the Ministry of foreign Affairs, the new draft of the visa also provides for the possibility of issuing visas in electronic form.
“The idea is that people not went to Embassy, did not receive the documents via email and using the service, completed a questionnaire, paid with credit card visa fee and after some time, when completed internal audits, and received his mail the message, printed it with a bar code or other identifier”, – he said.
According to Mr. Hare, it will take about a year to develop a mechanism for software to operate such a system.
