Lutkovska explains tortured FSB kidnapped in Crimea Lemeshka

Ukraine would seek the protection of the rights stolen FSB in the temporarily occupied Crimea, Ukrainian Gennadiy Lemeshko, which on the Peninsula have appointed “agent of the SBU”. This is stated in the message of the press service of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for human rights Valeria Lutkovska in Facebook.

The Ombudsman appealed to the Russian colleague, Tatyana Moskalkova.

“In his letter to Valeriya Lutkovska asked the Russian colleague to tell about the place of detention of Gennady Limesco in custody to give instructions to check the compliance with its procedural rights, including the right to protection, and if necessary – to assist in providing him with medical assistance, as well as conducting effective investigation of possible torture,” – said in the message.

The representative of the Ombudsman’s public relations Michael Chaplyga have reported about the production of the Commissioner for the protection of the rights captured by the intelligence services of the Russian Federation Gennady, Limesco.

12 Aug 2017 on the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea, the FSB detained Ukrainian Gennadiy Lemeshko. The occupiers appointed a man “military APU”, “SBU agent” and accused him of “preparing acts of sabotage” on the Peninsula – on power lines, roads and other objects. The camera man called himself Gennady Lemeshko, and admitted preparing acts of sabotage. Detainee’s mother statedthat her son gave testimony under torture and pressure. “The court” invaders in the Crimea “arrested” Ukrainian for two months.

The SBU detention and prosecution called “an injection of another provocation”. The defense Ministry announcedthat Limesco have served in the armed forces under contract, but was dismissed in may this year for negligence.

Russia occupied the Crimea in 2014. The Verkhovna Rada announced on 20 February 2014 beginning of the temporary occupation of the Peninsula Russia. Key international organisations including the UN, condemned the Kremlin’s actions. Against Russia was introduced on personal and sectoral sanctions. For the implementation by Moscow of the so-called parliamentary elections with the participation of the Crimea in 2016 Parliament recognized the state Duma illegitimate.
