The winners of the Odessa film festival

KIEV. July 23. UNN. Grand Prix eighth Odessa international film festival received the film by Jessica Woodworth and Peter Brosens “the King of the Belgians”, reports UNN with reference to the site of action.

In addition, the Golden Duke statuette for best Director was handed to Nani, Ekvtimishvili from Georgia for the film “My happy family”.

The best actors are recognized, Ia Chugoshvili and CISA, Kumsishvili, played in the film “My happy family”.

Best foreign film was the work of Spanish Director Carla Simone “Summer 1993”.

In the category of documentary films won picture of Sergey Bukovsky “Main role”.

The prize for the best Ukrainian feature film was awarded Dixieland Roman Bondarchuk. And best Ukrainian short film is recognized as “Release 97” Paul Ostrikova.

Special prize of the jury of the international competition was awarded to the film Director from China Csun Gen for work “free and easy”.

Golden Duke for his contribution to cinema, the Polish Director Agnieszka Holland, who directed the film T “ennichi garden”, “total Eclipse” and “Copying Beethoven”. A second statuette was awarded to the French actress Isabelle Huppert.

We will remind, the Odessa international film festival was the initiator of creation of the Ukrainian Academy, which plans to give the National film award.
