Videobloger Kamikadze Dead accused the Russian YouTube censorship: it is said that the host uses the prohibition of incitement to hatred in the commercials as an excuse to block opposition TV channels. It is reported Bi-bi-si.

“I have every reason to believe: the YouTube of Russia is working with the government of Putin, deliberately destroying the channels that criticize the policy of Russia”, – said videobloger Dmitry Ivanov. On video it is known as kamikadzedead, he has more than a million subscribers.

July 19, Ivanov wrote a message to the creators of YouTube, demanding to pay attention to the actions of the Russian administration hosting.

In may 2016 YouTube adopted new rules: now the video can block not just for the “nudity”, cruelty and spam, but also for inciting hatred on the grounds of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability and so on. If the video gets a “strike” – a warning from the hosting, it is deleted. After three “strikes” the administration is blocking the entire channel.

In Russia, these rules are original, says the blogger. According to him, in the top YouTube videos hanging, really hate. So, Ivanov found there, recording a show with Zhirinovsky, where he promises to leave one of the “nuclear ashes” from Western countries. “This movie feels,” said the blogger.

Ivanov said that Russian Youtube while blocking is not very popular channels (e.g., a few days ago was blocked blog “to Be or” with 83 thousand subscribers). “As well as the police and security services, the Russian YouTube prefers to create problems for the opposition channels with minimal publicity,” he says in his video.

So the blogger decided to say about the issue publicly. According to his estimates, the issue of freedom of speech on Russian YouTube appeared in early 2017.

Blogger also received a “strike” for the video about meeting Donald trump and Putin. The blogger appealed to the leadership of the hosting trying to figure out what words “stirred up the hatred.” He did not answer.

Kamikadze fears that his channel too, sooner or later will close down, accusing him of incitement of hatred. “You know, if I something afford against me immediately opened a criminal case”, – said the blogger. He is confident that his rollers are closely watched by law enforcement.

Another challenge blogger calls of bots – i.e., fake accounts, which massively attack the opposition the “dislikes” interfere with video rise to the top, even if he has a lot of hits, and massive complaints on the content of the video (in particular, incitement to hatred) can cause it to lock.

“And the administration does not understand, she fully indulges these bots and remove the video”, – says Dmitry Ivanov. According to him, in recent weeks increased attacks on the video, for example, the channels of the oppositionist Alexei Navalny.
