EU ambassadors agreed on a mechanism of suspension and “bezviz” Georgia

KIEV. 22 Feb. UNN. The Committee of permanent representatives of member countries of the EU agreed on a mechanism of suspension of the visa regime and visa liberalization for Georgia, the EU Council meets to decide on February 27. This was reported in his Twitter Brussels correspondent of Radio Freedom Rikard Jozwiak, reports UNN.

“EU ambassadors have given the green light to the mechanism of suspension of the visa regime and visa liberalization for Georgia. The EU Ministers will approve this February 27,” he said.

We will add, the European Parliament supported the mechanism of suspension “bezveze” .

According to the decision of the Council of the EU, visa liberalization with Ukraine should enter into force simultaneously with the introduction of a new safe mechanism of the EU. It provides for the possibility of suspending the visa-free regime of the EU with third countries.

In this earlier on the official website of the European Parliament as the tentative date of the approval of the EU visa regime for Ukrainian appeared date 3 April 2017. The press service of the EP said that the vote by the European Parliament to approve visa liberalization with the EU for Ukrainians was not delayed until April 2017, but the date is incorrect . Later on the Parliament’s website disappeared hearing date “bezveze” Ukraine.

Also we will remind, President of the EC Jean-Claude Juncker has promised to address the issue “bezveze” Ukraine in the early summer .
