Ukraine attacked a new virus-the extortioner XData

KIEV. May 22. UNN. Experts Malware Hunter Team last week discovered a new virus-extortionist XData, which spreads faster than the virus, Wanna Cry. They reported about it in Twitter, reports UNN.

On may 19, it was confirmed 135 cases, 95% of them are Ukrainian users.

Researchers Malware Hunter argue that the spread of XData four times higher in Ukraine than the virus WannaCry. In our country, they recorded a total of 30 victims from this attack that infected more than 200,000 users worldwide.

As XData spreads and infects computers is not yet known. Standard methods for virus-ransomware is a phishing attack using emails with infected attachments, using exploits OS, fake sponsored links, infected installers and others.

Among the Ukrainian victims mainly computer networks of companies.

As reported UNN, the creators of the virus WannaCry received from the victims of more than 42 thousand dollars.
