Killer Odessa boxer left in jail for two months

ODESSA-KIEV. May 19. UNN. Malinovsky court of Odessa has extended the measure of restraint in form of detention of the citizen of Azerbaijan Babek Damir oglu Hasanov, who is suspected in the murder of the champion of Europe on Thai Boxing Sergey Lashchenko for another 60 days, reports the correspondent of UNN.

“The court ruled, the petition of Prosecutor on extension of term of a measure of restraint in form of detention of Babak Damir oglu Hasanov to satisfy, to extend the period of detention of Babak Damir oglu Hasanov 60 days”, – told the investigative judge.

Recall that Babak Damir oglu Hasanov suspected of committing serious crimes, namely the murder of the champion of Europe on Thai Boxing Sergey Lashchenko of hooliganism. He faces a life sentence. In addition, he previously tried to avoid punishment, he fled and was declared internationally wanted.

As reported by UNN, in April 2015 in the center of Odessa between the two men had a conflict with a firearm, resulting in the boxer Sergei Lashchenko was hospitalized. Later, the suspect broke into the hospital and shot the victim. It should be noted that more than a year the man disappeared from investigation authorities, for which he was declared internationally wanted.
