Cybercriminals DPRK suspected of creating the “virus-the extortioner” WannaCry, which killed hundreds of thousands of computers around the world.

Such suspicions were expressed in the “Kaspersky Lab” in Google. Reports about it “Диалог.UA” with reference to “Russian conversation“.

We will remind, last week the virus struck WannaCry computerslocated in different countries of the world. So, in Russia, were infected a PC installed in institutions of the interior Ministry and the emergencies Ministry, as well as in branches of Sberbank and Russian Railways. In addition, the attack was subjected to several mobile operators.

It turned out that the source of the virus are most likely the attackers are from North Korea. In the “Lab” Kaspersky senior analyst Alexander Gostev said that suspicion fell on hackers from North Korea that previously used in Trojan programs, code that was discovered in viruses WannaCry.

In Google expressed the same opinion as in the “Kaspersky Lab”. Thus, the specialist company Neil Mehta also drew attention to the analogy between codes WannaCry and other viruses, which created the North Korean hackers.
