In the capital’s suburbs there are at least two interesting historical monument. The Cathedral of Saints Anthony and Theodosius — a fine example of Ukrainian Baroque of the XVIII century, whether to Believe the legend of an ancient underground tunnel connecting the Cathedral with the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra — you decide. The beginning of the XX century was the era of modernism in architecture. This sensual style was rarely touched the Orthodox churches, but the Church of the Holy virgin in the village of Parkhomivka — a pleasant exception.
