ODESSA-KIEV. May 1. UNN. Police officers in the line of duty to ensure road safety denounced 27-the summer inhabitant of Odessa region who in his own car brand Renault Master was transporting 53 stolen bag of sunflower seeds. About it the correspondent of UNN reported in the press service of GUNP in Odessa region.

“The duty of the Savransky police Department received a report from a farmer that unknown persons broke the wall and entered the storage room, from where stole the sunflower seeds in the amount of 496 seed units and 50 liters of disinfectant. The total amount of damage caused to the victim is more than 1.2 million hryvnias”, — is spoken in the message.

When carrying out quickly-search actions by 320 km of the highway “Kiev-Odessa” employees of the police in accordance with APB was stopped the truck in the cargo Bay which was discovered 53 stolen bag of sunflower seeds. Any documents on the seeds 27-year-old man was not to explain the origin of the cargo, the driver could not. Found the seeds removed. Establishes the involvement of other persons to commit the said offense.

On this fact initiated criminal proceedings under part 5 of article 185 (theft) of the Criminal code of Ukraine. The sanction of article prescribes punishment in the form of imprisonment for the term from seven till twelve years with confiscation of property.
