Half the cost of the gas pipeline “Nord stream-2” will pay for EU companies – “Gazprom”

KIEV. April 25. UNN. Five European companies will Finance half the cost of the pipeline “Nord stream-2”. About it reports a press-service of JSC “Gazprom”, reports UNN.

“Five European companies undertake to provide long-term financing in the amount of 50% of the total cost of the project, which is currently estimated at 9.5 billion euros. The contribution of each company will amount to 950 million euros,” — stated in the message.

Currently, the only shareholder of the project company Nord Stream AG 2 will remain “Gazprom”.

“2 Nord Stream AG signed with the ENGIE, OMV, Royal Dutch Shell, Wintershall and Uniper financing agreement of the project of the pipeline “Nord stream-2”, — said the press service.

We will remind, the project “Northern stream-2” provides for the construction of two offshore strings with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year from Russia to Germany under the Baltic sea.

As reported UNN, Ukraine has filed a claim to the Secretariat of the energy community concerning the “Nord stream-2”.
