The hijackers luxury car in Kharkov, send the money to the militants – SBU

In Kharkov the SBU together with the police defused an interregional criminal group, whose members specialized in the kidnapping of luxury vehicles. Reports a press about it-service SBU.

According to the report, the gang members stole cars recent model years, Toyota and Lexus, which are then offered to buy their owners.

Usually the amount the kidnappers demanded for the return of the car was 20-25% of its market value.

Law enforcement authorities established that the members of the group involved, at least to 15 vehicle thefts in many regions of Ukraine.

Part of the money the bandits passed on the temporarily controlled by terrorists the territory of the Luhansk region. The money used to buy drugs and firearms that were transported across the line of demarcation for implementation in other regions of Ukraine, reports the Agency.

In SBU noted that the organizer of the group – 33-year-old resident of Lugansk region. Also among its members were the former employee of militia from the Donbass, who was fired last year.

On 29 March the police detained the organizer and two active members of the group.

Detainees seized a stolen Toyota RAV4, received by criminal way money, a special electronic device to read codes alarm, automatic ammo and psychotropic substances.

Earlier, the police exposed the criminal group, who committed over ten armed robberies in Ukraine.
