The “head of administration” of the Russian occupiers was arrested in Severodonetsk, Luhansk region.
The Russian security forces controlling Severodonetsk accuse their own henchman in the “LNR” of robbery, as well as kidnapping.
In Severodonetsk, Luhansk region, captured In the summer of 2022, Russia detained a protege of the occupiers, Nikolai Morgunov, reports TG-channel “Astra” with reference to the pro-Kremlin media and the statement of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
Morgunov, an official and collaborator appointed by the Russians to the post of “head of administration” of Severodonetsk, is suspected of robbery, as well as kidnapping.
It is worth noting that until 2014, Morgunov was a Ukrainian official who served as mayor of Bryanka, Luhansk region (also occupied by the Russians), until he defected to the pro-Russian separatists of the “LPR”.
During the war in Donbas, there was a unit of pro-Russian militants in Bryanka, the Bryanka of the USSR, to which Morgunov was directly involved and which, according to the testimony of many Lugansk residents, also tortured and killed people.
In the summer of 2022, after the occupation of Severodonetsk, Morgunov was transferred from Bryanka and put in charge of the captured Ukrainian city. Judging by the fact that now not only Ukrainian refugees, but also Russians themselves are accusing him of kidnapping, this official led the Severodonetsk for two and a half years “very successfully”
Previously Dialog.UA reported that the trial of Russian LPR militant Yan Petrovsky for war crimes in Ukraine during the war in Donbas has ended in Finland.
