CEC appealed to the Donetsk and Lugansk CAA concerning the possibility of holding local elections
KIEV. July 30. UNN. The Central election Commission appealed to the Donetsk and Luhansk regional state administrations – regional civil-military administrations on the provision of conclusions on the organization of preparation and holding of local elections on 25 October 2020. It is reported by UNN with reference to the press service of the CEC.
“With the aim of proper organization of preparation and holding of local elections on 25 October 2020 on the territory of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, in particular, those at the line of demarcation, rights and freedoms of citizens, and also due to the fact that according to the law on HAV district, regional military-civil administration carry out the mandate to provide the Commission’s conclusions on the possibility of organizing and preparing carrying out the corresponding elections in some areas CEC appealed to the Donetsk and Luhansk regional state administrations – regional civil-military administrations on the provision of conclusions on the organization of preparation and holding of local elections on 25 October 2020”, – stated in the message.
It is noted that we are talking about polling stations, which were established in accordance with the CEC resolution dated June 25, 2020 No. 117 “On the formation of ordinary and special polling stations on a permanent basis.”
“Receiving these findings, the Commission expects no later than August 5, 2020”, – stated in the message.
We will remind, the CEC asked the Ministry of justice to clarify the authority of political parties in the newly formed districts.
