Japan launches another high-speed train N700S, able to accelerate up to 365 km/h. However, his work rate is slightly lower – a total of 285 km/h. According to the developer, the train also is highly resilient in earthquakes thanks to the onboard Autonomous power source.
Train set advanced braking systems and control: it can slow and stop much faster in case of emergency situation. N700S will operate between Tokyo and Osaka.
One of the main novelties of the N700S – the world’s first lithium-ion rechargeable unit which enables the train to the emergency section of the path at the sudden disconnecting of electric power (for example, during the earthquake) and at low speed to arrive in a safe place.
Do not forget that up to 10 % of the world’s earthquakes occur in Japan, despite the fact that its territory is only 1 / 100th of 1% of the Earth’s surface. To the credit of the Japanese engineers and the railwaymen, for the entire half-century history of high-speed Railways of this country were not injured a single passenger.
