Judge Jeanes reading set bail at $ 1 million to the former police officer Derek Sovena involved in the death of an African-American George Floyd in Minneapolis, told CNN.
The court granted the petition for bail and appointed several conditions for Sovena: to appear in court, not work in security or law enforcement to take firearms and ammunition, as well as permission to store the weapons. Sovena forbidden to leave Minnesota and contact with the family of the deceased.
If the defense will make a Deposit of 1.25 million dollars, the suspect will be released without conditions.
Previously Derek Chauvin, who was involved in the death of Floyd, was fired and accused of third-degree murder and unintentional second-degree murder, reports “Interfax”.
