Czech archaeology has published the results of a research facility called “the well of the Islands” (city in the Czech Republic – approx. ed Techcult), in which he officially recognized as the oldest wooden structure created by man. The age structure is estimated at 7275 years, on the grounds that the trunks of trees for the manufacture of its parts has been cut down to 5255 and 5256 years BC In those times the territory of modern Europe, there were no advanced civilizations.

“Well” this design is named because of the similarity with numerous counterparts throughout Europe, and is essentially a box with columns at the angles and walls of boards. Despite its venerable age, the material is so well preserved that traces of processing of stone and bone tools. Probably it was the base of the well, a spring placed on or near the aquifer for easy water intake.

The well was found in the Czech Republic in 2018, when laying tracks D35 near Island city. When the analysis used the techniques of dendrochronology, and the results are similar to the data of radioisotope measurements. It turned out that the well was repeatedly reconstructed and repaired using wood from different time periods. Scientists could not fail to note the high quality of work at the General coarseness of the structure. The people that created this well, have put a lot of effort

The object of the Islands are not the first and not even the most ambitious of its kind, but this is the first wooden artifact, which is measured with such precision. The other four dozen more waiting in the wings. The estimated age of some even more timber for them was felled in the order of 5400 BC.
