President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated that the Republic cannot be part of any country, even part of “our brotherly Russia”. “We have our own country. We are sovereign and independent. We are our brains and hands that could have earned, build our country. And we can’t be part of any country. I can’t betray you and dissolve Belarus, even in our brotherly Russia”, – said Lukashenko while visiting the Belarusian Shklov. His words lead state Agency BelTA.

According to the head of the state, in negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, he “clearly and unambiguously” made it clear that the unification of the two countries can not be considered, and the entry of Belarus into Russia, the Belarusians will “eat” your President is literally in a year after the adoption of such decisions. “I don’t want to be the last President of Belarus. It is an honor to be the first, but the latter do not want to be. I want our children to live on this piece of land in peace, harmony. In the arms of a Russian, by Russians. They are not strangers to us”, – said the President.

Lukashenko also expressed hope for the normalization of relations between Moscow and Minsk. “You should know that we’re not playing any games. We do not want unnecessarily to strain our main ally. It really is our main ally”, – said the President of Belarus, expressing hope that the Russian authorities “come to their senses and return to normal relations.” “We just have to exist in equal conditions. And to compete. And I’m sure we will cope,” – said Lukashenko.

At the same time, the Belarusian President once again accused Russia of using a tax maneuver to put pressure on Belarus and its desire to deprive the country of independence. “Disagreement and the conflict with Russia was due to the fact that we were asked to pay for oil price more than the world,” he said.

At the end of last year Moscow and Minsk are unable to conclude a contract for long term supply of oil because of a dispute about prices. Moscow offers conditions last year, but they are not as profitable for Belarus in the light of the tax maneuver. As a result, Lukashenka instructed to find an alternative to Russian raw materials. Belarus has sent a commercial proposal about the purchase of oil to Ukraine, Poland, the Baltic States, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

It also became known that the concern “Belneftekhim” has bought 80 thousand tons of oil from Norway. It will put the port in the Lithuanian Klaipeda, and from there by railway to Belarus, the refinery “Naftan”. This shipping method will cost more than Russian pipelines.
