As reported the UNIAN in a press-service of the Odessa railway, the incident happened in the driveway of the enterprise “Kiev-Dneprovskiy intersectoral enterprise of industrial railway transport” station of Izmail regional branch “Odesa railway”.

“During the execution of a shunting locomotive on the part of the feeder track between turnouts occurred derailment of two freight cars with liquefied gas-propane, which applies to class 2 hazardous substances. Country of destination – Romania”, – reported in Department.
It was emphasized that near the place where there was a gathering located residential and industrial buildings. The cause and circumstances of the accident are now being investigated.
In DWS stressed that, despite the holding of regional branch “Odesa railway” JSC “Ukrzaliznytsya” Commission of inspection and further exploitation of railway sidings, with the beginning of the year there were 7 cases of derailment.
As noted, the lack of response from the owners of the driveways on the remarks based on the elimination of defects, leading to traffic disruption and damage.
In particular, since the beginning of the current year the losses of the railway as a result of these retirements amounted to nearly UAH 1 million.
