Minor destroyed 38 headstones in the Odessa region

ODESSA-KIEV. March 21. UNN. Workers Okeanskogo police arrested five teenagers aged 12 to 15 years, in the cemetery of the village Beacons Okeanskogo district, which for the sake of entertainment destroyed 38 places. About it the correspondent of UNN reported in the press service of GUNP in Odessa region.

When carrying out quickly-search actions it is established that the crime involved five local teenagers. The oldest of friends in the evening suggested for fun to go to the cemetery and destroy a few monuments, to which the latter agreed. When they entered the territory of the cemetery, a 15-year-old destroyed the first monument on the grave, and thrice striking his leg. Other young people supported the idea of a comrade and together began to break the gravestones.

On this fact openly criminal proceedings under part 3 of article 297 (desecration of the grave, committed on preliminary arrangement by group of persons) the Criminal code of Ukraine. The sanction of article prescribes punishment in the form of restriction of liberty for a term from four to five years or deprivation of freedom from four to seven years.

Given that at the time of committing a criminal offense not a minor, 16 years old, and in accordance with part 1 of article 22 of the criminal code, criminal liability for the Commission of a criminal offense under part 3 of article 297 of the criminal code of Ukraine begins at the age of 16 years, guided by part 1 of article 292 and article 498 of the Criminal procedure code of Ukraine and clause 3 of part 2 of article 105 of the criminal code of Ukraine, Krasni district court of Odessa region sent the criminal proceedings on the petition for application to juvenile offenders compulsory measures of an educational nature in the form of a warning for a period of 1 year.

We will remind, on the facts of damage to monuments in Lviv oblast police opened criminal proceedings. The incident was condemned by the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin and the regional state administration, said that it was a provocation, for which there is a “third party”.
