Trump has called for the return of the Russian Federation in the G8

KIEV. August 20. UNN. The President of the United States Donald trump considers it appropriate to return to the format of the G8 (Great eight) with the participation of Russia. He declared it to journalists in Washington during a meeting with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, writes UNN.

“I think it would be much better if Russia was in the (G8)”, — quotes words of the President to the press pool of the White house.

It should be added also that the President of the United States, Donald trump intends to appoint as Ambassador to Russia, first Deputy Secretary of state John Sullivan.

As noted by UNN, the return to the G8 format is possible if Moscow will make significant efforts towards the implementation of the Minsk agreements, said the President of France Emmanuel Makron.

The idea of the return of the Russian Federation in the G8 sounded last summer when the Prime Minister of Italy (who has now resigned — ed.) thought the idea of trump on the restoration of Russia in the G8 format was “absolutely reasonable”.
