A drunken captain of Barbados put the ship aground in the port of Riga

KIEV. 4 Aug. UNN. The captain of the ship Hadeland under the flag of Barbados and Antigua twice put the ship aground when leaving the port of Riga. It is reported by UNN with reference to DELFI.

Latvian coast guard service received on Saturday, August 3, information about that when leaving port the ship ran aground.

The place of incident, went coast-guard vessel. As a result of inspection of the ship revealed that the ship’s captain is drunk.

The Barbados captain twice put the boat aground. The first time he was able to move away from the shoal, but 20 minutes later the incident was repeated.

Upon the incident the coast guard made the Protocol, the vessel was towed into the port of Riga.

As reported by UNN, in the UK arrested two pilots in a state of alcoholic or narcotic intoxication.
