According to the Department of communication of the police of the Luhansk region, search operations were carried out with involvement of fighters of a battalion of special police.

It is noted that the dried, partially processed and prepared for transportation of narcotic plants police found in a forest belt near the village of Stepnoy Yar.
“From the scene, law enforcement officers seized processed cannabis plants approximate weight of 150 kg, the equipment for processing and packing plant and a car, which is planned to transport processed cannabis plants to the place of storage. Near the scene, police found 35-year-old resident of Lugansk region, involvement of which the processing and cultivation of these plants is checked”, – stated in the message.
Information on this fact brought in the Unified register of pre-judicial investigations on signs of a criminal offence under part 3 of article 309 of UK of Ukraine “Illegal production, production, acquisition, storage, transportation or shipment of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogs without sales objective”. The sanction of article prescribes punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for a term of five to eight years.
