“Today, the Minister of defence of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak visited the flagship of the Russian Navy frigate “Hetman Sahaidachny”. During the visit the defense Minister heard the report of the commander Voyenno-naval forces of Armed forces of Ukraine Admiral Igor Voronchenko on during the international naval exercises “sea breeze-2019”, – stated in the message.
In particular, Voronchenko reported involved in the current teaching forces and means and the stages of the exercises, having them, despite the threatening atmosphere in the Azov-black sea region and the like.
The Admiral also noted that the holding of such exercises contribute to the further integration of the Navy and the APU in the whole Euro-Atlantic space. On hearing the report, in addition to representatives of the leadership of the exercises from the Ukrainian side was also attended by the head of doctrines “XI Briz-2019” from the American side captain Matthew Lyman.
As UNIAN reported earlier, in Odessa began on July 1, the Ukrainian-American military exercises “XI Briz-2019”. Ukraine and the United States carried out “sea breeze” every year since 1997, the teachings are open to participation by other countries.
In the current exercise involved about 3 thousand troops from 19 countries.
