More than half of Ukrainians support the legalization of medical marijuana

KIEV. June 21. UNN. More than 50% of the Ukrainian support to the possible legalization of medical marijuana to patients to alleviate pain in certain patients. This was announced by the sociological group “Rating”, reports UNN.

According to a poll, 30% completely and 28% provide some support for the possible legalization of medical marijuana for patients who are diagnosed with certain health problems, and in their case, marijuana can alleviate the symptoms and/or relieve pain.

However, as noted in the “Rating”, 33% held the opposite opinion and does not support legalization. The relatively high level of absolute support for this thesis among the inhabitants of Kiev, men, younger and wealthier respondents.

Reference: the data were obtained during a sociological survey of 2200 citizens of Ukraine aged 18 years and older, by personal formal interviews with 21 to 29 may 2019. The inaccuracy is not more than 2.8%.

We will remind, the acting Minister of health Suprun believes that the need to support the legalization of medical use of cannabis for scientific purposes and medicine.
