“We already had a “discount” on gas from Russia by the Kharkiv agreements. As a result, we have lost Crimea, because Russia has set then the condition is that the extension of Russian military base of the Russian black sea fleet on the territory of Ukraine”, – said the Prime Minister of Ukraine 2014-2016, leader of the party “national front” Arseniy Yatsenyuk, commenting in an interview Dmitry Gordon statement of Yuriy Boyko and Viktor Medvedchuk regarding their agreements on the discount on gas in the Russian Federation.
“Known “rescuers of Ukraine” Boyko and Medvedchuk once again went to Russia. Because their previous visit, Medvedev added them 1 or 2 per cent rating,” he said.
“They left to bring 25% discount on gas. Without discounts? We already had a “discount” by the Kharkiv agreements. As a result of these the Kharkiv agreements, we have lost Crimea, because Russia has actually put then condition – the extension of Russian military base of the Russian black sea fleet on the territory of Ukraine”, – said the leader of the NF.

Now we buy gas only from the Europeans, only on a transparent formula, only at a transparent price.”
Arseniy Yatsenyuk recalled his talks of 2014 as the head of government and head of “Gazprom” Alexei Miller in Kiev: “I say: you all must sign. Only you first give me the money back that we overpaid. And then we will sign the new agreement”.
After the refusal, according to him, he told Miller that Ukraine is going to file a lawsuit against Gazprom: “We have sue, we will win this trial.”
He recalled that the then Prime Minister with a team of “Naftogaz” was preparing a lawsuit in the Stockholm arbitration court: “I went into all these details. Do not believe that we will win court. And I believe it. We won 4 billion dollars.”
“And even under the transit contract, the court will win”, – said Yatsenyuk.
