At least three people died in India because of the powerful cyclone “Fanny”, which struck on Friday in the Eastern state of Odisha. The wind had uprooted trees, brings down the masts of the power lines. Before the onset of floods in Odisha were evacuated over one million people.

Cyclone “Fanny” came from the Bay of Bengal. It carries with it powerful showers and wind gusts, which reached 230 km/h. This disaster was not the last 20 years. In 1999, a similar storm caused the deaths of more than 10 thousand people, therefore the state government decided to evacuate residents of coastal villages.
