Border guards stopped two attempts to transport contraband cigarettes in the EU

KIEV. May 1. UNN. During the last day border guards stopped three attempts to smuggle contraband tobacco products by railway transport from Ukraine to the EU. This was reported by the press service of the State border service, reports UNN.

One of the recesses of the border guards Separate checkpoint “Kyiv” detected together with the customs officers at the checkpoint “Kyiv-passenger.” There were more than 1,000 packs of tobacco products without excise stamps of Ukraine. The cigarettes were concealed in one of the train carriages, which must be in Kiev and to go to Warsaw. The find is withdrawn, its value is set.

Two more caches of cigarettes were discovered by the border guards of Lviv detachment together with customs officers at the checkpoint “Volodymyr-Volynskyi”. Cigarette was trying to covertly move across the border in freight trains. To expose them helped service dogs. More than 200 packs of cigarettes without excise stamps of Ukraine are withdrawn.

We will remind, frontier guards of Department “Tisa” of the chop detachment on the border with Hungary arrested the smuggler and seized 36 boxes of illicit cigarettes.
