Died Soviet and Russian aircraft designer, former chief designer of OKB im. Ilyushin Henry Novozhilov.

“Henry V. Novozhilov died,” — wrote on his page in Facebook the former head of JSC “Il” Alexey Rogozin.

29 Oct 2018 Novozhilov said the 93-year anniversary.

Novozhilov — Creator of the project of heavy military transport aircraft Il-76, wide-body passenger airplane Il-96, a twin-engine turboprop aircraft Il-114.

Was the General designer of OKB im. Ilyushin from 1970 to 2005.
