Specialists of veterinary medicine of Ukraine has registered another case of dangerous viral diseases of animals – African swine fever (ASF) in Yampolsky region Vinnytsia region.

This was reported by the press service of the State service on safety of foodstuffs and consumer protection.
According to the main control Gospodarevskaya in this region, from 19 to 26 April, Yampolsky district, there was one case of African swine fever. The diagnosis of ASF confirmed in laboratory studies.

As UNIAN reported earlier, according to the published in January 2017 forecast Gospodarevskaya, if the current trend to the spread of ASF continue, Ukraine by 2020 will lose more than 1.2 million pigs, or about 4 billion UAH, and indirect costs will grow by 5-7,5 billion UAH.
According to Gospodarevskaya, the number of cases of African swine fever in Ukraine in 2018 decreased by 13% compared with the 2017 year to 145.
