In Odessa detained two people with “St. George ribbons” during events to mark the anniversary of liberation from fascist invaders.

As UNIAN correspondent, today in the evening at the walk of Fame, located in the Central Park of culture and leisure. Taras Shevchenko, came a group of people. Among them – participants of Pro-Russian shares, held on the Kulikovo field.

In particular, the audience was on Alla of Fame with flowers laid to the monument to the Unknown sailor. During the procession, the participants chanted: “Bandera demons, out!”.

One man was the so-called “St. George ribbon”, the use of which is prohibited by the legislation of Ukraine. The police demanded to remove it, but the man resisted. Another man who introduced himself as the son of the offender, and tried to “recapture” the militiamen.

As a result, both were detained.

As noted in the Main Department of the National police in the Odessa region, men, one of whom was in possession of prohibited symbols in the form of St. George ribbon, had a willful disobedience of a police officer.

Now both the offender taken to the seaside police Department for questioning.

The issue of men’s involvement to administrative responsibility. One article 173-3 (production and promotion of St. George (guards) ribbon) and 185 (malicious disobedience to a lawful order or demand of the police, the member of public formation on protection of a public order and state border, a soldier). Another – under article 173 (petty hooliganism) and article 185 of the Cao.

As reported the UNIAN, today in Odessa celebrate 75 years since the liberation of the city from fascist invaders during the Second world war.
