In Lithuania, accused in espionage in favor of Russia and sentenced to seven years
KIEV. April 3. UNN. The district court of the Lithuanian city Klaipeda sentenced to seven years of imprisonment the local resident of the Novel Seselj, accused in espionage in favor of Russia. It is reported portal Delfi, reports UNN.
According to the Prosecutor General, Seselj is a citizen of Lithuania. He was born in Russia and lived for a long time there. The Prosecutor believes that between 2015 and 2017 Seselj on behalf of the Russian intelligence service has collected data about the Lithuanian sites. In particular, by collecting data on military ships of NATO, the convict gave information on the strategic objects in Lithuania, located on the territory of klaipėda state seaport.
“Collected in the data confirmed that he not only got the job, but also perform a specific spy actions”, — said the representative of the court of Gintare Daugelaite.
The charges against Seselj does not agree, the guilt he did not recognize.
As reported UNN, the President of Estonia was deprived of the rank of the former military, who was a spy of the Russian Federation.
