The Parliament is recommended to strengthen control over the entry into Ukraine of foreigners
KIEV. March 27. UNN. The Committee on national security and defence recommends that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted as a basis the draft law on amendments to some laws of Ukraine on strengthening control over the entry into Ukraine of foreigners and persons without citizenship. The corresponding decision, the Committee took as a result of consideration of the bill №9402 during a meeting on March 20, reports UNN citing the website of the Verkhovna Rada.
The bill proposes to introduce a mechanism of preliminary electronic communications of foreigners who are nationals of migration risk or stateless persons and permanently reside in those States, of their intention to visit Ukraine. Also, the draft law provides the legal basis for collecting biometric information, which will be supplied by foreigners and persons without citizenship at registration of visas to entry into Ukraine and transit through its territory; the possibility of establishing a government of the special requirements for security of passport documents of foreigners and persons without citizenship travelling to Ukraine, in the interests of national security of Ukraine.
The bill provides for corresponding amendments to the laws of Ukraine “On the state border of Ukraine”, “On border control” and “On legal status of foreigners and persons without citizenship”.
According to deputies, the adoption of the bill will allow the further implementation of measures to strengthen control over the entry to Ukraine and departure from Ukraine of foreigners and persons without citizenship, coming from States of migration risk.
Recall from the beginning of this year, the state border service did not let on the territory of Ukraine 8000 foreigners.
